RCF HDL 53-AS on tihtipeale ideaalne laiendus HDL 50-A line-array’le.

ACOUSTICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The 3 x 12’’ RCF Precision neodymium woofers with 3’’ voice coil ensure powerful coverage in a frequency range between 35 Hz and 100 Hz. The accurate design and assembly of mechanical components allows an easy rigging above, side to side or in the back of the HDL50-A. The integration of three channels of digital amplification and the advanced digital processing sets a new standard for low distortion and noise.
The HDL53-A is an active high-power bass module that is equipped with both modern and innovative technology. Each component – from the power supply and the input board with DSP, to the output stages and woofers – has been consistently and specially developed by the RCF experienced engineering teams for the realization of the HDL50-A system and carefully matched to each other. This complete integration of all components allows not only superior performance and maximum operational reliability, but also provides users with easy handling and plug & play comfort.

A 3300W peak power digital amplifier powers the HDL53-A. New generation DSP handles all the processing within the cabinet.
A 32-bit floating-point DSP processing manages:
– System’s crossover and transducers’ alignment
– Programmable system’s equalisation
– Input sensitivity reduction
– Soft limiter and gentle compressor for very high signal inputs
– RMS current monitoring and transducer protection
A specially developed algorithm takes care of the frequency-dependent soft limiter, offering the listener the same system linearity, from very low-level signals to the maximum amplifier output.

HDL53-A has the unique RDnet interface, by means of which all components can be configured and controlled remotely from the front of house location for a maximum of control for the system. Every single component, from the DSP via the output stage up to the individual speakers can be monitored. Even extremely large systems can be easily organized and managed by this software. RDnet software can monitor levels, limiters and temperatures. The user is able to:
• Configure setups
• Solo units/ groups
• Mute units/ groups
• Select system presets
• Test individual components
• Group modules
• Functions: Master, Curve (sub arrays), Tilt (flown subs)
• Adjust gain and delay settings
• Setting equalizers
• Update firmware
When online the RDNet Control 8 unit sequentially scans all audio devices, which are automatically assigned to digital addresses.
The loudspeaker object are automatically added to the software synoptic, and the software shows an object for each loudspeaker (or any other audio device) that has been found.
In the object window you get different indications of the speaker and also switch functions such as Mute & Solo.
There are two indicators of the signal level: the first is a bar, the second a single LED to indicate the peaks.
The display also indicate with a yellow alert symbol if there is a wrong setting in the system.
OBJECT FOUND If an object on the workspace corresponds to the one found in the network this green icon is added to the object on the top right-hand corner.
OBJECT NOT FOUND A workspace object has not been found in the network. It is not possible to find a network device that corresponds to the workspace object.
DIFFERENT OBJECT In the network, there is a device with the proper ID, but is a different model. Move the move on this symbol to see a text box with the name of the detected model.
FUNCTIONS When an object is assigned to one or more functions, on the right side it is marked by this graphic symbol.
The object window includes the Group parameter, the Mute and Solo commands and the Recall indicator.
In the center there is level bars, a pair per each speaker way: Low, Low, Mid & High. In each pair the left bar indicates the signal level of its respective way, the right bar indicates the compressor operation.
The ok LEDs indicate that each speaker way is working properly and Mute switch are also acccessable for the same window.
Speed indication of FAN 1 & FAN 2, internal temperature indication and Angle shows the loudspeaker (vertical tilt).
Settings for loudspeaker field (NEAR / MID NEAR / MID FAR / FAR) & cluster loudspeaker number setting.
Setting of signal level attenuation (value: from 0 to -20 dB).
Signal Delay setting, express in range of 0
A graphical display of your different EQ settings
Settings of EQ types, Flatten, Disable & Inverted PH buttons. Furthermore Save and Send options. Save function: Sends and stores the equalization to the selected speaker. Send function: Sends (without storing) the equalization to the selected loudspeaker.
DISABLED: the filter is disabled.
SHELVING_HIGH: increase or decrease the level of all frequencies below the selected frequency by the specified amount.
PEQ: parametric equalizer that allows to adjust the level L at the settable center frequency Fc and specify the bandwith BW (the adjusted level can be widened or narrowed)
LOW_PASS (available as filter only):
Butterworth 24 dB / octave low-pass filter
(note: filter GAIN control is disabled).
HIGH_PASS (available as second filter only):
Butterworth 24 dB / octave hi-pass filter (note: filter GAIN control is disabled).
The Frequency and Gain can be adjusted either graphically (through the mouse), bu enabling the “Visible” option (to visualize the filter intervention) and moving the little coloured square or in an analytical way, by inserting the values in the cells and then activating the “Visible” option.
The overall equalization is shown as a red line, the intervention of a single filter as a line of ist respectiove colour.
RCF is one of only a few loudspeaker manufacturers worldwide that have the ability to completely design and manufacture transducers, speakers systems, as well as electronics for amplification and control. More than 60 years of heritage in Audio, combined with our state-of-the-art research and development and manufacturing processes, allow us to seamlessly integrate all the ingredients to design and build the DLINE Series.
– 3 X 3.0” voice coil neodymium 12” woofers
– Water resistant fibre doped cone
– Polycotton M-roll surround
– Hypervented neodymium magnetic structure
The magnetic structure is powered by a large neodymium magnet that provides an extremely high flux density in the gap. The new hyper-vented aluminum basket and magnetic assembly design provide an excellent heat dissipation and lower power compression. Special air-forced ventilations are provided for voice coil, magnet assembly and basket. M-roll surround and spider design offer great linearity and precise reproduction. The waterproof body cone treatment and polycotton surround ensure a durable performance in every application.
RCF engineers constructed an innovative housing consisting of rigid plywood and side panels made of plastic with integrated handles for creating a low weight.
The integrated mechanics are both fast and reconfigurable, allowing the system engineer to create J-shaped and spiral arrays starting with 0.2° splay angles. The angling of the system is at the rear of a single back bone. The hardware is designed so that the angle can be adjusted prior to use, on the ground, and slip automatically into the correct position when pulling up the array. The system administrator has to then only fix with a lock pin angle. This allows a very easy and fast set up.
The HDL 53-AS tour grade system comes in a composite wooden-polypropylene enclosure, and is equipped with two aluminium side handles with rubber handgrips and two rear handles for portability. The heavy-duty front grille is powder coated. A special transparent-to-sound foam backing on the inside helps to further protect the transducers from dust.
The cabinet is made in high quality Baltic Birch plywood with every layer glued with a special adhesive that makes the cabinet completely water resistant even before the painting process.
The paint department inside our factory in Italy utilizes a special polyurea paint to create a very thick full coating of the cabinet making it highly resistant to scratches and bumps.
